Welcome to the Diabetes Risk Score

Many people are at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes without realising it. Answer the following seven questions to find out how at risk you are, and what to do next.

Please make sure you take accurate measurements for your waist, height and weight.

The test will only take 3 minutes.

What is your gender?

What is your date of birth?

What's your ethnicity?

Do you have a parent, brother, sister and/or child with diabetes?

What is your waist measurement?

IMPORTANT: Measure your waist correctly

Please be aware this is not necessarily your jeans size. Many of us underestimate our waist size, so please make sure you measure yours with a tape measure.Use your fingers to feel for your bottom rib, and the top of your hip bone then measure around your body directly in between these two points. Take a look at the diagram if you are unsure.

Calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI)

Many of us are not the height or weight we think we are. Please make sure to measure your height with a tape measure and your weight with scales.

Has a doctor ever told you that you have high blood pressure, or given you medication for it?
